Pentecost 2026 – Sydney, Australia – June 13th
PENTECOST 26: Holy Fire Rising Across the Pacific
Something extraordinary is stirring across the Great South Land.
Four centuries ago, Spanish explorer Pedro Fernandes de Quirós stood on the shores of the Pacific and declared the region the "Great South Land of the Holy Spirit." In 2026 — 420 years later — that prophetic declaration is being answered. A fresh wind is blowing, and the Church across Oceania is rising to meet it.
Pentecost 26 is a region-wide movement of prayer, awakening, and Gospel proclamation, uniting nations across the Pacific in one unfolding story of Holy Spirit outpouring. From 18 May to 13 June 2026, three landmark gatherings will form a single, blazing trail across the region.
It begins in Vanuatu — on the very sands where that 1606 declaration was first made. Intercessors and leaders from across the Pacific will gather at Espiritu Santo (18–20 May) to seek God's voice for the region, before a Glory Arise Reawakening Conference and a 12-hour Gospel Crusade ignite Port Vila (21–24 May). The sequence culminates on Pentecost Sunday itself, on Pentecost Island — one of the most symbolically charged locations on earth.
Then the fire moves to Sydney, where on 13 June, worshippers, intercessors, and Gospel-bearers will gather at Blacktown Showgrounds for a national day of proclamation and prayer.
But this isn't just about attending events. Local churches across Oceania are invited into a 50-day Easter to Pentecost season of united activation — prayer, mission mobilisation, and positioning Pentecost Sunday as the year's greatest outreach moment.
This is a defining hour for Australia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Aotearoa New Zealand, and beyond. The fire is rising.
