explains how we will collect and use the information you give us.
Prayer
Alert is a partnership project under the Auspices of the Prayer Forum of
British Isles and Ireland whose members include: Houses of
Prayer in Ireland: Greystones, Co Wicklow, Christian Renewal Centre,
Rostrevor; Interprayer International Partnership, Jersey Prayer
Network, Lydia Fellowship International Europe, Manx Prayer Net,
Parliamentary Prayer Scotland, Pray for Scotland, Prayer.TV, Prayer Week,
The World Prayer Centre.
The word
‘we' refers to The Prayer Forum of British Isles and Ireland (PFBII),
unless otherwise indicated.
Information Collection and Use
You will
be asked to submit personal information about yourself (e.g. name and
email address etc) on a contact form in order to receive or use services
on our website. This service currently includes Prayer Alert newsletters.
We are committed to treating your personal data with due care and in
accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 principles.
PFBII
will not sell, share or rent the information you provide with anyone
else. We will use this information solely for administration and
subscription management and for communicating with you about our
activities and initiatives.
By
submitting data to us, you will be indicating your consent to us, to
contact you by whatever means of contact you supply. (e-mail, telephone,
fax, post, or SMS/MMS) unless you indicate an objection to receiving such
messages by ticking any boxes provided OR contact us directly to express
your preferences.
Monitoring
website visits
We record
anonymously the trends in use, such as the number of times a page is
accessed and which websites users came to our site from. This information
is not traceable to a single user. We do not currently use cookies to
monitor how our members use the website. *Cookies are text files that
could in some circumstances identify your computer (through what is known
as an IP address) to a server.
Links to other websites
Our website contains links to other sites. Neither The Prayer Forum of
British Isles and Ireland, nor its partners are responsible for the
privacy and security of these sites. This privacy policy applies only to
this website.
Security of Sensitive information
If we ask you
for sensitive information such as credit card numbers, we will use secure
encryption where appropriate. If you communicate with us by email over
the internet you should be aware that the nature of the internet is such
that unencrypted communication may not be secure and may pass through
several different countries on route to us. Please do not email us with
confidential or sensitive information such as your credit card details. We
cannot accept responsibility for unauthorised access to your information
that is outside our control.
By
submitting data to us, you give us consent to use your sensitive personal
data e.g. credit card information solely for the purposes for which you
submit it. This may include passing it on to third parties.
For
instance, in processing donations, we may collect financial data from you
which we then pass on to the banking system agents from whom we clear the
funds. We, and they, only use this information to provide you with this
payment service.
Correction/Updating/Unsubscribing Personal Information
If your personally
identifiable information changes (such as your postal address), or if you
no longer desire to use our service, we will endeavour to provide a way to
correct, update or remove your personal data provided to us. This can be
done by emailing

clicking the ‘cancel subscription’ link on any of our emails or by writing
to us at PFBII, Cornerstone House, 5 Ethel Street, Birmingham B2 4BG,
England.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may vary this
policy from time to time and the current version will be that published on
this site. If any changes substantially change our members’ rights or
privileges, we will email them with details.
How to access your personal information
A full listing of data that we
hold in your name can be provided on request for a small fee. Please
address requests along with a cheque for £10, to The Administrator, The
